The Format:   Dependent on the number of entrants there will be up to three competitions and up to six prizes:   Oasis Squash Club Winter Challenge – All registered players will be initially entered into this event.     Winter Challenge Upper Plate – The top 50% of players, by handicap, who fail at the first round of the Championship (or maybe the second) will be eligible to play in this competition.  Winter Challenge Lower Plate – The bottom 50% of players, by handicap, who fail at the first round of the Championship (or maybe the second) will be eligible to play in this competition.
All competitions will be played on a handicap basis to give everyone a chance of competing to win.  The handicap system will be calculated using various league statistics for each player and agreed by a committee before the competition.  More details on the exact handicap system will be detailed nearer the event.   Entry Cost:      This competition is open to any fully subscribed member of the Oasis Squash Club.  The cost to members will be minimal at £3 per game played.  A deposit of £6 is required to cover the first two matches.   The Rules: The rules for this competition can be found by clicking here.  The Draw and Court Schedule: The draw and court schedule for the tournament are below: Main Tournament Draw Upper Plate Draw Lower Plate Draw Court Schedule The Prizes:   There will be an estimated prize fund of £300 (dependant on the total number of entrants). Prizes will be sports equipment prize vouchers, free squash passes etc. Typical prizes may be split as follows: For the main competition: £60 first prize, £40 second prize,  £30 third prize,  £20 fourth prize For the two plate competitions: £30 first prize, £20 second prize,  £12 third prize,  £8 fourth prize
